Looking at the Sky on Friday: Bare and Blue

One of the newest people I have met here on the Internet Tubes is Tisha at CRAZY WORKING MOM (I so relate to that name) and she started a new sky photo project a few weeks ago.

Check it out - I know there are other sky photo projects out there, and those photos are all lovely too, but the sky is big enough for all you know.

I love this tree. It has such a beautiful shape. It sits at an intersection that I pass almost every day. It makes waiting for the light to change so much prettier.

You're right - it has a very nice shape, and that's a beautiful blue sky behind it. *sigh* I miss the blue skies... is Winter over yet? hehe

misty - this was just last week and it was about 20 degrees out so there is some winter blue - but I'm with ya! we're under a storm watch for 6 inches of snow and I ain't happy!!

I was thinking the other day that our skies here are bluer in winter but that's probably because of the cold and the lack of haze, which we seem to get a lot of in summer. The only problem is that it's not real enticing to go out and take pictures when it's below 20 degrees and the wind is blowing, too! Still, it's hard to NOT go take pictures when blue skies are so blue!

The shape of this tree is almost perfect and probably a lot more noticeable sans leaves than with. I had mentioned to my mother last week that you never really know exactly how many trees there are until winter when you can see them all rather than just a big mix of green leaves. Having their leaves stripped makes them more individual somehow. I guess in a way that would go for people, too, wouldn't it?

Oh don't even tell me I just went all philosophical in your comments section! How rude of me! Sorry 'bout that!

I just love Linda, don't you?! Although I can honestly say that I have never once been compelled to go out to photograph anything when the temperature fell below minus 20 degrees. Just saying.

Your tree is lovely! I keep my camera with me always, for just such occasions! As I said in my post today, I love trees in full leaf and bare. Each form has its own particular beauty!

Strange that someone starts another skywatch on a friday when there is already a skywatch friday community, but whatever, the tree is a beauty and the sky is not grey :-) Enjoy your week !

Gorgeous blue sky. I don't believe we will be seeing that kind of sky later today...that winter storm is approaching.....

I love the tree with its near perfect shape. We have a mulberry tree in front that I often photograph silhouetted against the sky.

I love Duchess Linda too. ;-)

Have a cozy Saturday, Dianne!

Hi Dianne! This is beautiful. It must also be when full of leaves. Or in fall. Lisa
