Purple Photo Passion: Flowers In Traffic

Looking At The Sky On Friday is right below this

This is the second week of PURPLE PHOTO PASSION. Check it out and consider joining in, purple is a wonderful color for spring and summer and passion and love.

Children from a local school planted these flowers on a traffic triangle at a busy intersection. Makes me smile each time I pass by.

Great shot, and what a sweet idea to have schoolkids plant those flowers. They help beautify the neighborhood.

Thanks for playing!

didya see the piece on ABC World News last nite about the people who (illegally!) go out after dusk to plant greenery on traffic islands and in any empty lot they see ...

Love it. The world needs more flowers and fewer signs and such in the middle of traffic.

That's a really cool spot, and brilliant that the kids could be involved in brightening up a small space. It reminded me of my favourite activists, the Guerrilla Gardeners: see http://www.guerrillagardening.org/
