Purple Photo Passion: The Frame

Looking at the Sky On Friday is right below

My niece gave me this frame for Christmas. I just finally put in the wedding photo of my son and his wife.

April 30 was their 3rd wedding anniversary
May 9 was his 36th birthday
My first grandchild is due July 1

So many moments to frame ...

Another Two Color Day

I'm posting for both MELLOW YELLOW MONDAY and PURPLE PHOTO PASSION

This is part of my son's Simpsons collection.

These twisty branches have a beautiful purple hue to them. I didn't notice that when I took the shot, I was looking at the chairs in the clearing. No one could figure out how they got back there or why they were there.

Purple Photo Passion: Flowers In Traffic

Looking At The Sky On Friday is right below this

This is the second week of PURPLE PHOTO PASSION. Check it out and consider joining in, purple is a wonderful color for spring and summer and passion and love.

Children from a local school planted these flowers on a traffic triangle at a busy intersection. Makes me smile each time I pass by.

It's a Two Color Kind of Day

MELLOW YELLOW MONDAY has a buddy this week. I got an e-mail inviting me to join in on PURPLE PHOTO PASSION

Purple is my favorite color so it's going to be a joy to find and capture it.

What I love most about the photo projects is that they open my eyes. As soon as I decided to post something purple I noticed it everywhere.

And yellow and red were always at the bottom of my list but I have really come to appreciate them thanks to MELLOW YELLOW MONDAY and RUBY TUESDAY

My Yellow this week is this sweet cat scuplture. I'd like to think whoever placed it there saw that the butterful would appear to be coming from the yellow flowers and the cat would look so gentle.

My Purple is a statue I was given years ago. I love everything about her - her face, the folds of her garment, and the flowers.

Please check out both photo projects. Yellow already has quite a following and I'm hoping Purple will too.

Have a wonderful week full of color.
