Mid Week Blues and Window Views: A Facelift

I like this building and I'm thrilled that she's getting some care and restoration.

Stop by MID WEEK BLUES and check out an exciting soccer game.

Stop by WINDOW VIEWS and visit Forest Hills, NY. You'll even learn about the famous folks born there.

that is a neat old building, glad that they are restoring it and not just tearing it down.

I like the shape of the decoration over the windows, and the blue trim is attractive with the brick. Kudos to whoever is fixing this building instead of tearing it down.

This is a charming building. It's very good they're restoring it. I love the brick and the colors. I like the lamp post too. Nice!

Hi Dianne, wouldn't you like to have the contract to redo that old building! It is looking pretty sharp.

I am guessing it an institution and that there will soon be an escape. If you make it extra large you can see a rope hanging out the window, fourth from the left on the second story.
There is a bare bulbed (no shade) light on in there. I am sure they have the city maps and are memorizing a good escape route. :-)

Oh yes, I got carried away figuring things out.
Happy MidWeek Blues. Thank you for peeking in on my sad little cloud.
Are you too young to remember that song?

Beautiful trim on these plain window - no fighting for attention. And the colours are very complementary.

Yay...I love when places like that are revitalized. It makes me so happy1 I just can't stand when they are demolished instead.

Just look at the detail and the window frames. I love it all.

Thanks Diane!

I'm always happy to see old buildings being rehabbed, and not razed.

Looks like some of the edifices around her in southern CT.

I love that old building, Dianne! It's absolutely beautiful. And the colors are so vibrant and rich. Do you know its history at all? I wonder, what is a school? An apartment building? A hospital? What's taken place behind those walls all these years? Don't mind me, I'm just getting a bit carried away this morning. lol
